Duck Race... a what?

Duck raceThe Calne duck race is on Saturday (21st May).  I confess I'm not sure what to make of it!  In the three years we have lived in Calne I have somehow managed to miss it!!  My wife and children have gone and always really enjoyed themselves.  Someone is going to have to explain to me the history of the event?  But with the church backing onto the river it is a great opportunity for the church to be at the heart of the community.  So the church will have a stall which will be a chance for anyone who wants know more about Calne Free Church to come along and learn what we are all about.

So look out for me.. I will be the one with bemused look on my face as hundreds of ducks float past me down the river
