Who We Are

We are a group of ordinary people, doing ordinary jobs just like everyone else, from all kinds of backgrounds and nationalities, who are grateful that God has rescued us from the penalty of our wrongdoing against him through faith in Jesus Christ.

Our aim is to have a living relationship with the living God through his Son, Jesus Christ. God speaks to us today through the Bible and it teaches that we are to worship him with the whole of our lives. When we meet together as a church for corporate worship we seek to be both accessible and contemporary but also reverent in our approach.

We are an Independent Evangelical Church.

Independent means we are not governed by any wider church group, but operate independently. We are affiliated to the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches, a grouping of around 500 similar churches throughout the UK.

Evangelical means we aim to base our lives upon the teaching of the Bible and therefore seek to:

  • Live our lives to the praise of God our Creator and Saviour

  • Understand and teach God's Word for God's World

  • Learn to live to care for one another

  • Take the Gospel and practical help to a world in need

Church means the people, not a building; so we are a group of people who are followers of Jesus Christ.

The church is led by a leadership team which includes a full time pastor. If you want to find out more, meet the team.

Sermon Series

A series of sermons looking at the life and ministry of Jesus. Who is he? Why did he come? We will answer these and other questions as we look at Mark's account of his life.

In this series we will look at the very beginning - Genesis is not only the first book of the Bible, but also tells us about the beginning - the beginning of creation and the beginning of God's plan to save the world.
