Sundays
Our Sunday morning service is designed to include everyone and you’ll find teaching for people of all ages.
For all ages, the emphasis is to come together in collective worship to glorify God in praise, prayer and by hearing God speak through listening to the Bible being explained.
We love to read the Bible and part of our time together is a Bible talk where God’s Word is explained and applied in clear and simple terms. We love to pray and we love to hear what God is doing in people’s lives and around the world.
Children are an important part of our commuity. There are groups for children including a creche and Sunday school for children up to 11 years whilst the main Bible talk is going on. Read more information about Sunday School.
For older children and young people we provide guide-sheets to help them follow the main teaching.
After our services most of us stay around for coffee and conversation, catching up with people we know and getting to know people who are new to us – there’s always the opportunity to meet new people at Calne Free.
On a regular basis, we’ll stay on and eat together and there’s another service at 6:00pm in the evening for those who can make it. In the evening service we include contemporary but reverent worship of God, using the best of old and the very latest hymns and songs. We also listen to the Bible being explained by the preacher so that we will hear God speaking to us through his Word.
